Georgia Geraldine, second daughter of actress Rebecca Gayheart (Dead Like Me) and Eric Dane (Grey's Anatomy) is our Capricorn Signature Star Child!

Performer Shakira is a new mom to baby boy Milan, who was born in Barcelona on January 22nd. Milan looks like he is going to be a lot of fun. The union of the Moon and expansive Jupiter in his chart reveal that he will have the open and generous heart of a child even when he is an old man. 

He will also have the curiosity of a child throughout his life. Communication, learning, and observing will be some of his favorite pastimes due to a number of factors in his chart. The Sun in intellectual Aquarius is tied to Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, indicating that a prominent trait that lies at the very center of who he is (Sun) is what he knows and what he wants to find out (Mercury). Capricorn Signature Star Child: Robert Ford

When They Were Young: Brad Pitt

While Brad Pitt probably doesn't need any more confirmation that he's #1 dad in his kids' eyes, apparently he's also been named top dad at the Big Daddy awards this year! Before he was a dad, Mlle. Kiddie looks at when he was young.

Brad seemed to be into a little of everything, especially when it came to sports: golf, tennis, wrestling, skateboarding, basketball, baseball (here he is in uniform), you name it! That's no surprise for a double Sagittarius--both his Sun and Ascendant are in active and energetic Sagittarius, so he would have probably wanted to try everything at least once as a kid. It's also no surprise that he tried his hand at journalism--both on the school newspaper in high school, and majored in journalism in college, with the practical, money-making focus of advertising, no doubt due to his four planets in practical Capricorn.

With a wealth of Capricorn, there is much about him that is surprisingly serious, and those closest to him would have seen the side of him that was always trying to do the right thing. While he might have appeared to have that carefree and easy Sagittarian demeanor, he no doubt applied himself to his goals and been a mostly responsible kid. But he would have liked to push the envelope when things got too serious. Rebellious Uranus is in a tense relationship with his Sagittarius rising, so when he found himself taking life a little too seriously, he probably pulled a prank or two to shake things (including himself) up!

Beyoncé and Her Bouncing Baby Blue

Hollywood has welcomed a few new members over the last little while, including Keri Russell's Willa Lou, and Rebecca Gayheart's Georgia Geraldine, and many happy fans are excited about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's new baby who arrived yesterday (Saturday) evening,* January 7th: Blue Ivy.

No birth time has been publicly announced yet (in fact, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are still 'mum'), but Beyoncé's sister Solange and several others tweeted their congratulations, and a local paper disclosed that, according to a "close source:"

"Beyoncé has given birth to a girl early this evening in
New York ... Baby and mom are doing fine."

Looks like Blue has some lovely cooperative trines in her chart, such as Venus in Aquarius trine Saturn in Libra, lending some common sense to creative and love choices, and Mars in Virgo trine the Sun in Capricorn, indicating a willingness to work hard for her goals. The moon lies in Cancer, but if Blue was born earlier than 6:00, the moon would have been in Gemini, so la belle lune is shrouded in mystery until Mlle. Kiddie gets a birth time!

Vida Alves McConaughey, daughter of Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey is our featured Capricorn "Star Child."

Venus and the Sun are conjunct each other in Vida's chart. The Sun represents the things in our personality that we could say are at the core of who we are, so any planet conjunct it is very ingrained in our identity. Venus conjunct the Sun can indicate grace and an ability to relate well to others, and in Capricorn, she'll possess a certain refinement, even in youth.

Vida has a strong Venus in her chart because not only is it conjunct the Sun, but it is also the 'ruler of her chart' in that it is the ruler of Libra, her rising sign, which emphasizes her ability to relate well to others and she'll naturally know how to make others comfortable. Venus-ruled people are often easy to like, although they have to be careful that they don't compromise themselves too much in order to gain that approval.

Diddy Daddy Disneyland

Twin girls D'Lila Star & Jessie James celebrated their 5th birthday with some good old family fun at Disneyland--or perhaps it was Diddyland for a day! Dad Sean Combs ("Diddy") tweeted a picture, saying "Me + one of the birthday girls taking a time out at Disneyland- Jessie Combs!! Happy Birthday to my babies!!"

D'Lila & Jessie were born two minutes apart, and share a natal chart. They were born on the winter solstice, just a day after the new moon in Capricorn and were obviously a special holiday gift for mom and dad! They have older and younger siblings, but with a Capricorn moon and rising sign, they were born with wisdom beyond their years and will probably not hesitate to impart that wisdom to others, whether they like it or not! Dad has already joked about their 'bossiness' in prior interviews:

"They are talking a lot more and they're very demanding. Sit down. Don't go anywhere, stay here, do this. They give me a lot of orders. When they tell me to sit down everything else gets put to the back burner."

Honor Marie Excited to Be New Mom

Apparently, Jessica Alba's daughter, Honor, has decided to start her own family at the tender age of 3. Jessica visited Jay Leno at The Tonight Show and said that her daughter is excited about being a big sister but has decided that “she’s going to actually be the mommy" and mom will be the grandma. When asked by a friend of Jessica's if she was excited about being a big sister, Honor replied, "Yeah, because I’m going to be a grown-up. I’m going to drink vino and drive."

Don't laugh, mom! Honor has Capricorn Rising, so she takes growing up quite seriously. From Honor's Kiddiegram:

Big Brother Ryder

In the May issue of In Style Magazine, Kate Hudson talks about meeting Muse front man and current honey (and dad-to-be) Matthew Bellamy and having her second child with him. Kate is due in mid July, and while it's still a mystery, Kate suspects a girl!

Ryder's dad, Chris Robinson, has already made Ryder a big brother once, with his Capricorn sister, Cheyenne Genevieve, born in 2009. Mlle. Kiddie has no doubt that Ryder is a great big brother. With his Capricorn Sun and Cancer Moon, he will probably enjoy the responsibility of being the Older brother, showing his younger siblings how to do all kinds of grown-up stuff, and yet with his tender Cancer Moon, he is a nurturer at heart as well. Traditional astrology tells us that Cancer is a natural mothering energy, while Capricorn is a natural fathering energy, so Ryder's got the best of both worlds!

He's also his mom's protector, according to Kate, telling her she shouldn't eat spicy foods and that she shouldn't be driving. He's certainly made to be a protective big brother. He'll probably keep the bullies away!

In families, one often sees sign patterns repeated. Ryder's sister Cheyenne, is a Capricorn, just like Ryder, and if this new baby comes close to the due date, Kate and Matthew will be welcoming a Cancer baby, which is a great fit for Ryder's Cancer Moon. Sounds like a great family!

Surprise New Baby for Keith & Nicole: Faith Margaret

It certainly wasn't a surprise to the parents-to-be, but the rest of the world certainly dropped its collective jaw upon hearing the news that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman welcomed a new baby girl in Nashville via gestational carrier on December 28th. Sunday's a big sister!

Not only does Faith have a strong Capricorn Sun, but she also has Pluto in a conjunction with her Sun and Mars also in Capricorn not too far away. Her moon, in Libra, is in a conjunction with Saturn, which lends another Capricornian flavor since Saturn 'rules' Capricorn.

Kids with a lot of Capricorn energy tend to seem on the serious side and sometimes can seem like little grown-ups. While some children want to run free and wild, Faith will probably feel comfortable with being given responsibilities and clear rules.

Mademoiselle Kiddie does not know Faith's birth time, so it is impossible to determine Faith's Ascendant, but whether it's in fun-loving Sagittarius, open-hearted Pisces, or go-get-em Aries, Faith is likely to approach life with caution, especially when it comes to trust other people. The O'Connell/Romijn Twins' Sit-In Protest

The twins of Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell know what they want and aren't afraid to go after it! Rebecca says of her twin girls, Charlie and Dolly:

"The horrific, horrible terrible twos have already begun! If they don't wanna go, they'll just drop and wait, both of them! It's like a sit-in protest. They're like, 'Nope, we're doing a sit-in.' It's so annoying!"

These kids will only get more persistent in their ability to doggedly pursue what they want (and protest what they don't want!) With no less than six planets in Capricorn, they will develop the ability early on in their lives to set their sights on a goal or achievement and see just how to get there. Capricorn kids tend to be quite calculating because they have the gift of being able to see the practical steps to get from A to Z and will maneuver whatever they must to get there, in some cases. They also have the stamina to reach their goal rather than just dream about it. While their goals may be simple at this stage, they will become more ambitious over time and their ability to meet those goals will pace their ability to dream new ones up!
