Capricorn Signature Star Child: Flynn Bloom

Flynn Christopher, only child and son of Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies) and model Miranda Kerr, is our Capricorn Signature Star Child!

With Mars and the Sun close together in the hard-working and serious sign of Capricorn, there will be no stopping Flynn from achieving what he sets his mind to. Mars represents our drive and desire to act, and in Capricorn, Flynn will grow up learning to cultivate his ability to set goals and achieve them, even when they are not immediately granted and require patience. Capricorns often have patience in spades but fueled by the energy of the Sun, he may lean toward he competitive and passionate side, always raring to go. Saturn is forming a tense square to these planets, however, which will be a continual reminder in life that haste will often backfire and sometimes you need to follow the rules and do things by the numbers to get what you want.
That reality will not be good news for his Aquarius Moon, however! Flynn's heart marches to the beat of a different drummer and he will often need a great deal of freedom to do things his way and in his own time. While his Sun and Mars in Capricorn may have something to prove and crave the approval of those he respects, his Aquarius Moon will prompt him to reject rules that he doesn't like and find his own way. A challenging but possibly ideal combination in its balance!

More from his Kiddiegram:

He is drawn to anything out of the ordinary, novel, or different, and he has a pronounced unconventional streak. He feels oppressed and bored by standard, tried-and-true ways of doing things and he insists on having the freedom to experiment and try new paths. He is stubborn about doing things his way, in his own distinctive style, regardless of social custom or tradition. Certainly you can teach him consideration for others, but rules and customs that have no real purpose other than "We have always done it this way," mean little to him.

Capricorn Signature Star Child: Robert Ford

Robert Ford, son of Owen Wilson and Jade Duell, is our featured Capricorn Signature Star Children. The Kiddiegram reports are the heart and soul of Kiddiegram, because they were created out of a desire to help you understand and nurture your precious one. A Kiddiegram is truly a "user's manual!"

Ford has four planets and his south node in the sign of Capricorn, which is a sign that's focused on learning the value of self-reliance, independence, and responsibility. Children with a lot of Capricorn planets in their chart tend to have a rather serious side to their personality, and Ford will most certainly have that, especially with his no-nonsense Taurus Moon. Ford's Mercury, also in Capricorn, is not far from Pluto, which gives him not only a logical mind, but also a shrewdness that will be surprising to find in such a young guy!

One of the most notable things about Ford's chart is his Sun and Mars, which are lined up closely together in a conjunction. The Sun represents the characteristics that are central to our identity, and any planet that is close to the Sun adds its motivations to this list of core traits. Mars represents what motivations us to action, our passion, and our drive. Here's more on this powerful pair from Ford's Kiddiegram:
Sun conjunct Mars

This child is very energetic, and one of your principle tasks as his parents is to help him find outlets for his abundant vitality. He is quite competitive, and enjoys contests and challenges, whether physical or intellectual. He is also likely to be hot-tempered, impatient, and easily frustrated by delays. He is very strong-willed and rather combative, uncooperative, or uncompromising at times. He likes to be first in everything.

*Ford's birth time and exact city is not publicly known, so a sunrise chart was created. However, an exact birth time must be known to calculate the houses and ascendant in a natal chart, so Ford's Kiddiegram does not include that unknown information and no incorrect interpretation has been offered on the unknown components of Ford's chart.

Marcia Cross' Terrific Twins

Marcia Cross, recently interviewed for Scholastic's Parent & Child Magazine, says, as do most parents of twins, that Eden and Savannah, are "completely different!"

“Though twins, they’re completely different! One of them recently started karate and watching her first tournament blew me away. The other one is into dance. You have to be open to the different directions they take.”
It's been a long-standing theory among astrologers that twins, sharing practically identical birth charts, may live out different parts of the chart they share, in order to individuate. While a birth time is not publicly known for the almost 5-year-old twins, through their wealth of planets in Pisces, including creative Venus, one of the twins might be channeling that gentle and graceful Pisces into dance (probably Eden, is Mlle. Kiddie's guess from looking at pics like these) while the other adds a little kick-butt Aries Moon to the mix with karate.

Both of them may enjoy physical activity that has a clear structure and a goal, whether it's to continue to improve in skill or having their progress recognized by awards, with Mars in Capricorn, a sign that wants to excel.

Army Wives' Catherine Bell: Big Sister and Little Brother

Army Wives' Catherine Bell recently talked with Parent & Child Magazine about her two kids, Gemma (8) and Ronan (almost 1):
"Our daughter Gemma is 8, and she’s self-reliant and can entertain herself, and then all of a sudden we had this little creature that you have to do everything for. But, I mean, obviously it’s wonderful. Gemma has grown into such a good big sister. She’s the best. She loves him so much; she’ll climb into his crib and cuddle with him."
Gemma has Mars in the sign of Capricorn, which makes for pretty good big sister material. She'll probably enjoy showing Ronan how to do big kid kinds of things, as Capricorn tends to enjoy taking on responsibility like the grown ups (and in fact, can sometimes seem like little adults!) Her Mars in Capricorn is very close to Ronan's Moon in Capricorn, so she'll probably be an influence that pushes him to always do his best.

Mom Catherine said that the family enjoys being outside, riding bikes or wake-boarding on the lake. Being an active Aries with an even more active Sagittarius south node, Gemma tends to get restless, so this is a great way for Gemma to work out all her exuberant energy! With Virgo Rising and a sensible Capricorn Moon, Ronan may be more of the indoor fun type, enjoying more low-key but creative fun, but he's got Jupiter in Aries in the 7th house of relationships, so she may be able to get a rise out of him and encourage him to try more adventure in his life.

Sounds like a fun family!

Baby Girl for the Youngest Hanson

Remember MmmBop by Hanson? It doesn't seem that long ago to some of us but it's been long enough for the youngest Hanson brother, Zac, to have not one, but two babies! Zac and Kate Hanson welcomed their second child, a daughter they named Junia Rose Ruth, on December 15th.

This is going to be one determined little girl! She's a Sagittarius Sun so she'll have big ideas and enthusiasm, but she's got three planets, including action-oriented Mars in the sign of Capricorn, where it really likes to be. In Capricorn, Mars is said to be 'exalted' because Mars likes to act and Capricorn is ambitious and goal-oriented, but practical enough to get things done rather than go off in all directions, which will reign in her Sagittarian ideas and really take them somewhere.

She's also got a charged Aries Moon and Venus in Scorpio, so her passions run loud (Aries) and deep (Scorpio). When she wants something, very little will be able to stand in her way!

From Junia's Kiddiegram:
The MOON in the birthchart indicates how she deals with and expresses feelings, how she experiences the world on an emotional, feeling, non-verbal level, what her emotional needs are, and what she needs to feel secure, comfortable and at ease.

High spirited and lively, this child needs action and she loves to be moving. She is attracted to anything with speed and energy, and to anything that involves challenge or competition (like running a race). She does things quickly, sometimes carelessly, and she hates to wait for anything. She can be very temperamental and impatient if the pace is too slow, and she gets frustrated with herself when she cannot master a task right away. She wants very much to be independent. She also wants very much to win, to be the first, to be the best. Emotionally she may seem quite self-sufficient, as she dislikes depending on others' help.
Looks like it's a MMMerry Christmas to the Hansons!

Big Sister Frances Pen

Amanda Peet, who recently gave birth to Molly June, says big sister Frances "Frankie" Pen is still adjusting as a big sister:
"It's been good; she's a little more moody than usual but it's not directed at the baby. It's more like, 'Frankie eat your broccoli,' and she starts screaming. She wants to have a baby in her belly and she wants to breastfeed."
While Frankie is a Pisces, her moon is in the sign of Aries, along with her Mars in Capricorn, two energies that indicate a desire to take charge and do things her way. With a moon in Aries, Frankie might be feeling a little competitive and left out, so there's a chance that she might want to be the one having the baby in her belly and breastfeeding to regain a sense of feeling important.

Being a Pisces, with a Virgo south node, Frankie has a strong desire to help, and with Mars in Capricorn, she knows exactly how she wants to do it! Capricorn is a sign of management in all senses of the word, not just a job title. Capricorn is about making plans and following through on those plans to reach your goals, something at which Frankie will typically be pretty good. Although, it might help for her to get a little older before she starts making plans on handling her new baby sister, since putting a newborn baby in a 3 year old's tummy probably isn't the most practical idea!
