Jason Lee's Sunny Son Sonny

Jason Lee welcomed a new son, appropriately named Sonny, on June 16th, which makes three for the My Name is Earl actor. Jason is a Taurus, a great match with new baby Sonny who has a Taurus Moon and Taurus Ascendant. This easy-going father-son duo will probably love hanging out together and just chilling or bonding over a shared love of baby naps!

Sonny is likely to be pretty active, though, with three planets and his south node in playful Gemini, especially when he gets older and is more mobile. Gemini kids don't like to sit still for long if there's an explore to be had or something nearby to take apart! Mischief is typically Gemini's middle name, but it'll all be good-natured and innocent fun for Sunny with Jupiter close to his south node. Chris Hemsworth's "Snow White" Rose

Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Huntsman, The Avengers) celebrated his first father's day last month with his daughter India Rose, born May 11th.*

No doubt she'll be a sweetie and the 'apple' of this huntsman daddy's eye, but almost of nearly everyone she meets! India was born with the Sun in easy-going Taurus, and she's got jovial Jupiter right next to it. Jupiter lends generosity, bigness of spirit, and has an overall delightful influence on anyone's personality. People will like to be around India as she's likely to have an air of laid-back acceptance and openness.

Mother Moon: Jessica Alba

Mother's Day is approaching (May 13th) so please enjoy this spotlight on the astrology of our favorite Hollywood moms! First up: Jessica Alba.

While moms (and dads) nurture their children with their whole selves, the moon sign has a lot to say about the way we care for and shelter our loved ones, especially our children. Jessica Alba, mom to 3-year-old Honor Marie and 8-month-old Haven Garner, has an individualistic Aquarius moon, so she's not likely to be the smother-mothering type. Grandpa Ozzy

Ozzy Osbourne is a grandpa! His son, Jack Osbourne and soon-to-be daughter-in-law Lisa Stelly, welcomed a daughter which they named Pearl.

 Pearl was born under the steadfast and practical Taurus Sun, but she's got to keep up with the Osbourne family and her chart shows she should have no problem doing so! Her moon in Gemini very easily adapts to the world around her (although her Mars in Virgo will like to have things just so). The strong connection between Mercury and Uranus paired up in feisty Aries is the one to watch. She'll have opinions and have no problem sharing them. She won't need much encouragement in being outspoken!

How will Ozzy handle the distinguished title of grandpa? Ozzy's north node, which represents a soul's overall aim in growth, is in the sign of Taurus. Learning Taurus behaviors is about learning to slow down, to not make things overly complicated or dramatic, but let life happen as it will. Taurus also benefits from grounding itself in the sensual nature of life and living it: establishing healthy routines and enjoying the pleasure of life. Pink's Thinking Pink: Welcome Willow Sage

Singer Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, welcomed their first baby on June 2nd in Los Angeles. In a recent interview, Pink described what led her to choose the baby's name, Willow Sage:

“The willow is my favorite tree. I grew up near one. It’s the most flexible tree in nature and nothing can break it — no wind, no elements. It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment. I want that for her.”

“Sage is cleansing and sacred. And it sounded great together. It doesn’t hurt that her last name is Hart — flexible cleansed heart.”

Looking at Willow's natal chart, she just might fit the bill when it comes to her mom's hopes in naming her. Willow was born while both the Sun and Moon were in the sign of Gemini, a mutable sign. The mutable signs are about change; whether it's seeking variety like Gemini, progress like Virgo, or uncharted territory like Sagittarius. Gemini bends reality like a Willow tree bends in the breeze, allowing new information and observations to come in from any direction and let it change how they see things from moment to moment. The Sun is in Taurus from April 20th to May 21st this year. Happy birthday to all those Taurus kiddos (and mommies and daddies)!

In pop astrology books, you'll see the same word every time when you read about Taurus: stubborn. But most of the time, stubborn misses the mark of the depth of this earthy sign. Unflappable Apple Martin

In the February 2011 issue of Good Housekeeping, Libra mom Gwyneth Paltrow talked about life with Apple (6) and Moses (4). Recently Gwyneth talked about taking Apple to ballet class on a day when her dad was supposed to be on duty:

"Normally, Apple is pretty unflappable... Apple started going, 'I'm not crazy about that idea! I don't like change!'"

Apple's Sun and north node are both in the sign of Taurus, a sign notoriously stubborn and disliking of change. But when these characteristics are present, they don't come from a desire to be difficult. Taurus is about learning to embrace the natural rhythm of life and finding a sense of inner peace and stability, which can be especially important for someone with a Scorpio south node (the sign opposite Taurus) like Apple. Scorpio can carry a lot of tension because it's such a complex and intense energy, but Taurus is learning the wisdom of simplicity, so it's casual and relaxed nature is most comfortable and prevents unnecessary stress. The stubbornness can come from a desire to plant one's feet and grow in a stable environment, and it's the same thing that can often make them 'unflappable'.

Gwyneth also shared some of the things she wants to teach her children, such as accountability.

Apple will probably respond well to the lesson of responsibility, with her Capricorn Ascendant, which reveals that her outlook on the world is always coming from a goal-oriented and practical approach, with a desire to be taken seriously. She probably also makes a great big sister as Capricorn tends to easily take on the responsibility of looking after those younger or less capable than them. Sheryl Brings Home Another Crow: Levi James!

Sheryl Crow announced today that she adopted another baby boy, Levi James, born April 30th, to join brother Wyatt Steven, 3 years old. Mlle. Kiddie does not know Levi's time or place of birth, but much can still be seen about Levi's developing personality. 

Mom Sheryl clearly loves Taurus, because both boys have birthdays just a day apart, and both are Taurus Suns. Sheryl also has her moon in Taurus. Taurus has a laid back attitude toward life, loving to take it slow and enjoy the simple things. They can be be pretty cuddly too! More about Taurus from Levi's Kiddiegram:

He has a great fondness for beautiful things and for comfort, and he has a pleasure-loving side which borders on laziness at times. Amy Adams Welcomes New Little One (Finally!): Aviana Olea

Actress Amy Adams welcomed her new daughter, Aviana Olea, on Saturday, May 15th in Los Angeles. A birth time has not been disclosed, so her Ascendant and house placements cannot be determined yet. 

Aviana is a Taurus Sun and a Gemini Moon. The sign of Taurus brings traits of common sense, practicality, and a love of simple pleasures, whereas Gemini provides a sense of playfulness, flexibility, and a love of the complex--which it sees as puzzles to work out to entertain itself and it's famous curiosity. What a perfect mix of earth (Taurus) and air (Gemini)! Aviana's got roots and wings built into her personality, and not just in Taurus and Gemini.

Aviana was born during the Saturn/Uranus+Jupiter opposition that we have all been experiencing over the last couple of months. Happy 4th Birthday Sadie Sandler!

Sadie Sandler will be 4 years old on Thursday, which gives her a Taurus Sun, a perfect fit with Adam Sandler's Virgo Sun. Taurus and Virgo are both signs of the element of earth, an element that is happiest keeping things down-to-earth, real, and practical. Even though sometimes Virgo can get high-strung when really worried about something, they both like to keep things low-key, without too much drama. Mlle.
