Signature Leo Star Child: Haven Garner

Haven Garner, second daughter of Taurus Jessica Alba and Capricorn Cash Warren is our featured Leo Signature Star Child. Most Leos have a knack for turning on the charm, but that goes double for Haven. While she's likely to always find friends, she won't give her heart away to just anybody. Mother Moon: Jessica Alba

Mother's Day is approaching (May 13th) so please enjoy this spotlight on the astrology of our favorite Hollywood moms! First up: Jessica Alba.

While moms (and dads) nurture their children with their whole selves, the moon sign has a lot to say about the way we care for and shelter our loved ones, especially our children. Jessica Alba, mom to 3-year-old Honor Marie and 8-month-old Haven Garner, has an individualistic Aquarius moon, so she's not likely to be the smother-mothering type. She will have a natural appreciation for the process of allowing her daughters' individuality to shine through, and give them the room to explore who they are. It is sometimes said of Aquarius that they can be too detached, but one can see from recent photos of Jessica with her kids, there's plenty of love and warmth there. She'll just be inclined to give her kids the space they need.

Jessica's four planets in Taurus, including her sun, indicate she's a pretty down-to-earth mom too, in more ways than one. It's no wonder. Her first child, Honor, has Saturn in the early degrees of Virgo, which forms a strong connection to Jessica's Mars in the early degrees of Taurus. Mars is what motivates us and what we're willing to create and fight for, actively. Saturn is the planet of responsibility and commitment - we feel weighed down by it, but we also are willing to work to live up to those responsibilities we feel and commitments we want to honor. So Honor's Saturn influencing and inspiring her mom to take action because of a responsibility is pretty clear and "Honor"able!

Haven's 'Haven'

Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren welcomed their second daughter, Haven Garner, just shy of two months ago. Jessica shows off her new baby in People, where the couple talked about the inspiration for Haven's name.

Haven was born in the caul, which means she was delivered inside the amniotic sac. Because she was "born in her safe haven," as dad Cash put it, they chose Haven.

Haven was born while Mars was in the sign of Cancer, so she'll definitely appreciate a safe haven. Perhaps that's why she decided to try and bring hers with her! But this little one was born with three planets in Leo, a sign of dynamic self-expression, and not one to hide their light under a bushel (or a haven, as it were). She was also born during a full moon.

The full moon, occurring when the moon is farthest away from the sun as depicted in an astrological chart, is fully illuminated and therefore bright and visible for all to see. These souls are often moved to extend themselves out into the world, whether it's socially, professionally, creatively, etc. Haven is not likely to stay in a safe haven for long, as she's going to have great gifts to share with us all!
