Venus Kids: Let's Be Friends!

In a recent blog entry, Famecrawler suggested some "perfect playdates" for some celebrity kids. Suri Cruise and Zahara Jolie-Pitt should play together, it was suggested, because they are both girly girls and would love to play dress up. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Kingston Rossdale should be pals because they could both do boy things (since Shiloh loves to be 'just one of the guys'). Jennifer Lopez's twins Emme and Max should get along fabulously with Vivienne and Knox Jolie-Pitt (hmm...are we seeing a pattern here...? or perhaps a PITTern...?) because, well, they're twins, and they're all 2 years old.

But Mademoiselle Kiddie knows there's a lot more to getting along than sparkly dresses and a twin sibling! While relationships can be ever so complicated, astrology's Venus can light the way to compatibility and getting along. So would these pairings really work, astrologically speaking?

Suri & Zahara
Suri's Venus is in Pisces, with Uranus very close by, in her first house. She may like the idea or fantasy of a best bud and can be pretty flexible up to a point with what her playmate wants to do, but Uranus is a very independent planet, and in the first house, Suri likes to be in charge (not to mention her Aries Sun!)

Zahara's Venus is in Sagittarius, with Mercury pretty close to it. She's going to be pretty easy going when it comes to making friends, since Sagittarius tends to be a sign that's not too picky or particular. She may enjoy friends that like to chat, and she'll always love to be on the go.

So is this a friend match? Strictly speaking, Pisces and Sagittarius are square to each other, which is a difficult pairing. Pisces tends to be more gentle and Sagittarius more bold, so it's quite possible that Zahara's style of relating could feel overwhelming to Suri, who might cope by distancing herself and doing her own thing (Uranus, 1st house).

Shiloh and Kingston
Since they were born so close together, Shiloh and Kingston both have Venus in Aries. They both will have a natural style of relating that is bold and direct, without a lot of caution or treading lightly. They may like to roughhouse with each other, and tease in their playing. However, they both have a square to Mars in Cancer, which can be challenging. If one hurts the other's feelings, there may be a tendency to sulk in the corner or go home in a huff, but if they really like each other, they'll bounce back (Aries) quite easily. Sounds like a good match!

Max & Emme and Vivienne & Knox
Max and Emme have Venus in Aquarius. They are likely to relate to really interesting characters, kids that have something unique or interesting about them. They also have Venus close to Mercury, and Aquarius is an air sign, both of which heighten the mental and communicative function of relationships. They aren't into the mushy stuff, but they will certainly have an entertaining time if they're free to experiment, even if it's with their friend and their friend's reactions!

Vivienne & Knox have Venus in Cancer, which is a tender sign. They are likely to be very affectionate and loving in their style of relating with their friends, always wanting to take care of them. They are likely to show great hospitality, inviting them over for tea parties and giving them gifts and hugs.

This is a pairing with not a lot in common. Aquarius is a more curious and intellectual energy while Cancer is a more feeling and soft energy. Max and Emme may be bewildered when something they did unintentionally hurts Vivienne and Knox's feelings, and Vivienne and Knox may be confused by Max and Emme's seeming indifference to some of their loving gestures.

Happy Father's Day: Tom & Suri Cruise

In celebration of Father's Day, Mlle. Kiddie looks at daddy-kiddo relationships this month.

Suri has strong signatures of independence all throughout her chart. An Aries Sun, which wants to be free to explore the world, fearlessly; an Aquarius Rising, which reveals a desire to show her individuality and a reluctance to let anyone get her to conform to what they expect, and Uranus, the planet of individuality is very close to her Venus, the planet of relationship, revealing that while she shows tenderness and empathy to those she relates to, she's always keeping part of herself separate enough not get so deep into the desires of another that she loses her connection to herself.

Tom's Jupiter lands very close to Suri's Venus/Uranus. Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar system, and it's reflected in its astrological meaning: it wants us to be as big as we possible can. It is the planet of our potential, our greatness, and the possibilities of life. It is represented by the Roman God, Jove, and 'jovial', generous, larger than life figures such as Santa Clause, embody the Jupiter influence in our lives. Since Tom's Jupiter connects to Suri's Venus & Uranus, he can infuse her with a sense of encouragement, especially for her individuality and right to express herself any way she pleases. In an recent interview, Tom said "She wears what she wants to wear and we allow her that creativity. She’s just very special. An extraordinary little girl." Since Venus rules fashion and Uranus expressions of individuality, Tom's encouragement (Jupiter) of her right to express herself through fashion and creativity is a perfect example of the Jupiter connection between them.

Tom's Sun also lands right at the midway point between Suri's south and north nodes. Suri's south node lies in Libra in the 7th house, which can indicate a tendency to hang back too much and wait for others' to take the lead, trying to focus too much on being nice or getting another to like you rather than holding your own and following your own path. Suri will be watching Tom carefully for examples of how to work through this lesson.

Venus & Kiddie Style

Venus is the planet of love & beauty, just like it's goddess namesake. We humans are usually pretty caught up in all that love stuff, so it's sometimes easy to forget that by looking at Venus our charts, we can find out so much about our personal style and decorative preferences: how we like to decorate our homes and especially our bodies. It is our Venus sign that reveals what we find beautiful, and how we go about making ourselves beautiful and appealing to others (or ourselves!)

Suri Cruise:Venus in Pisces

With her Venus in Pisces, Suri is going to love the flowing dresses and beautiful colors. Fantasy is a strong love of Venus in Pisces, so anything that makes her feel out of the ordinary and a little magical is for her. Playing dress-up is not only fun for her, but a real expression of her individuality, since Uranus is right on top of Venus in her chart. As we see her style evolve, she's likely to go for unusual or avant-garde things that are cutting edge - still embracing the fantasy of Pisces but a little out-of-this-world altogether. Since Grier Hammond Henchy (daughter of Brooke Shields) shares the exact same birthday as Suri, we are likely to see something similar from her as well (although Brooke says Grier is much more into the makeup!)

Shiloh Jolie-Pitt:Venus in Aries

Although she's been criticized (at such an early age, tsk!) for her tomboy looks and it's been speculated that her parents are dressing her 'like a boy' on purpose, it's likely that Shiloh's short haircut and gender-bending fashion is more her preference than her parents'. Aries is a strong and straightforward kind of energy, so it's often categorized as more 'masculine'; therefore, with Venus in Aries, Shiloh may prefer styles that aren't over the top girly and not prefer dresses or heels that might get in the way of her ability to relax and play.

Suri Cruise 'Cruises' Her Own Way, Thank You!

Mlle. Kiddie can't resist one more look at Suri Cruise's chart when it comes to her 'mah-velous' fashion sense! Already revealed is her Aquarius Ascendant, which makes her want to greet the world in a way that says I Am An Individual, but she has Neptune conjunct her Ascendant, which shows her sense of enchantment with the world of mystery, fantasy, and of course, dress up! Neptune tunes us in to the mystical side of life, stepping outside of the mundane and into possibility. Incidentally, it also makes for a great actress, because she reveals herself as ever changing, constantly dressing herself in different characters. You may think saying this is about a 3 year old is reading too much, but mais non! We will see it get even stronger as the years go by.

But not everyone with an Aquarius Ascendant has such a unique and distinct sense of fashion, not to mention enjoys showing it off like Suri does. This desire points to her very strong Venus and Uranus conjunction in Pisces. Venus is often thought of exclusively in relationships, astrologically speaking, but it's also our sense of what we find beautiful and how we express that, in fashion, style, music, etc. With Venus so tightly fused to Uranus, she expresses her sense of individuality via the outlet of beauty and art, in this case, wearable art (fashion). Again, we will see this unique and striking fashion sense just get more expressive as she grows. In Pisces, we see a desire for fantasy (just as Neptune above) and magic in what she chooses to wear, and the more dramatic and playful, the better. Pisces is a water sign, and we even see that in the flow and movement of the dresses, no, the gowns she chooses, flowing around her like a river current. It's even visible here in the photo above, with the deep greens and blues.

One more indicator in her chart about her individual style is Jupiter. Jupiter is in a square to her Ascendant, which often leads to excess and greeting the world with a sort of over the top style. Who, Suri? Nah.....

Aries Kiddie Star Sign Suri A 3 Million Dollar Wardrobe

Little Aries Suri Cruise has a projected three million dollar ( 2 million pounds) wardrobe. Since her

birth she's been on the top toddler

list of celebrity children.

With her Moon conjunct Pluto

in the tenth house Mlle Kiddie is not surprised she is in the public eye.

The little fashionista is even followed in a fun celebrity Suri Cruise Fashion Blog which have lots of pictures of her and sources of some of her outfits.

Her superstar parents have the money to indulge their Aries daughter (who a source noted doesn't like to wear the same outfit

twice with designer duds) , and family friends even get into the act. Victoria Beckham reportedly asked high end designer Robert Cavalli to make a commissioned dress for Suri. Make sense to Mlle K, she has all those Beckham boys! whats a girl to do?
