Heidi Klum's Full House

In the May issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine, Heidi Klum shared some fun tidbits about each of her four children: Leni (6), Henry (5), Johan (4), and baby Lou (18 months).

Of Leni, Heidi says she’s “the lawyer type. She has wits and ways to manipulate anyone into whatever she wants. And you know what? Sometimes if she has a good point, I let her have what she wants.” She must be working her Venus & Mars conjunction in Gemini with some skill, it sounds like! Venus in Gemini knows how to establish a connection with someone through communication, and with Mars (planet of action) close by, she'll be able to present her point to get what she wants while charming (Venus) the pants off her audience!

Henry is very artistic. “He lives in his own world," Heidi says. Apparently a recent family dinner involved some fluffy green dinosaur-feet slippers as dinner attire, which was "not weird at all" for him. Gotta love his Aquarius Moon obviously in action, which has him setting and following his own rules. Aquarius embodies the classic phrase "marching to the tune of one's own drummer," and it sounds like Henry will be marching to that drummer in dinosaur slippers!

Johan is the avid reader. "He’s always the one with a book under the arm and he always wants to know 'What is that?' He’s that 'why-why-why?' kid.” With Gemini Rising, this kid is here to learn everything, that's for sure. The Rising Sign is the style and attitude with which we move out into the world and interact with it. Gemini at this gateway wants to gather all the information it can, and with a Sagittarius Sun, he's going to want to have as many experiences as he can too! A know-it-all and a do-it-all ... watch out, world!

And finally, Heidi says of baby Lou (the thinker), "she's very observant." With Mercury conjunct Saturn in Virgo, she's developing an rigorous attunement to detail. Heidi also says, "it's probably quite a trip being born into a family where you have three older siblings. Boy, they pull her around. They don't leave her out." With Lou's laid-back Taurus Rising, she probably doesn't mind too much!

Happy Birthday Libra Kids!

The Sun is in Libra this year from roughly September 22nd to October 22nd. Happy birthday to all those Libra kiddos (and their mommies and daddies)!

Kids with prominent Libra planets in their charts, especially the Sun and/or the Moon, are primarily concerned with fairness and peacekeeping. They are the little charmers of the zodiac because they always have an innate sense of what others want and need from them. They don't tend to be competitive in general, because they feel more comfortable when everyone is getting along and happy, so conflict can be difficult for them. Showing them how to get through conflict with an eye for a fair resolution for everyone involved is immensely helpful.

Heidi & Seal's baby Lou recently turned 1 year old. More about Libra from Lou's Kiddiegram:
Lou has a highly developed sense of symmetry, balance, and fairness, and all her life she will be striving to find a happy medium (between herself and other people, between work and relationships, between her heart and her head, and so on). She tends to be moderate, avoiding extremes, seeing both sides of an issue, sometimes unable to commit herself wholeheartedly to anything for fear of excluding something or someone. Indecisiveness is likely to be a real, ongoing problem for her, and it is best not to offer her choices that require an immediate, definite response. She usually needs time to think about it, or she wants both of the options, or she does not feel strongly about either one but she will sift and weigh them indefinitely.

Mommy & Me: When Two Charts Collide; Heidi Klum & Baby Lou

They say that each of us is an entire 'universe unto ourselves, but they also say that 'no man is an island.' While we all have our personal lessons to learn, our environment and relationships, especially our parental relationships, shape so much of how we experience those lessons. It is often through our dynamic with another that we come to know ourselves in the deepest ways. Throughout February, Mademoiselle Kiddie will be focusing on how celebrity parents and children get along and what they have to teach each other by sharing highlights from their chart connections.

Heidi Klum & Lou
Lou is the most recent arrival of the Klum clan. With her south node, Mars, and Moon in Cancer, Lou has entered this world with a strong desire for security. This is something that mom, Heidi, has already observed, remarking how attached Lou is to her still and that they are a ‘package deal, especially while Lou won’t take a bottle. Children with a great deal of Cancer energy long to feel safe and cared for with intensity, sheltered in a feeling of home and hearth. Stability in the home and family will be especially important for Lou, who also has Taurus Rising, a sign that, among other things, enjoys a sense of predictability and routine in life to allow them to relax into this business of living.

While Heidi's love for Lou will no doubt be over the moon, the intensity of Lou's attachment may be bewildering for an uber Gemini like Heidi (Sun, Moon, Saturn, Venus and Mercury). Geminis need a lot of room to move and to experiment with whatever catches their interest, often off in several directions at once while even more schemes and ideas percolate in their minds. Tim Gunn, who has worked with Heidi on the popular television show Project Runway, has spoken of her as a "Superwoman" because she always has so many projects going on simultaneously.

It may be difficult for Heidi to adjust to Lou's need for reassurance and attention, but if she can stretch, Lou will benefit immensely from the effort. While Lou will be learning a sense of independence and self-sufficiently, she will most easily be able to do that if she feels like she's got a strong foundation of love and stability underneath her. Sudden changes, whether it be in diet, living situations, or family relationships, will take Lou longer to adjust than perhaps other members of her family, including Heidi, who is exceptionally adaptable.

Patience and encouragement will go a long way with Lou, who in turn will shower her loved ones with love and care. Lou has an abundance of love to give and will greatly enjoy not only feeling cared for, but taking care of her loved ones. If Heidi and her family can give her an outlet for her own desire to nurture, Lou will really be able to blossom and find pride and confidence in herself. No doubt her entire family will always appreciate her sweet and giving nature.

First Photos of Heidi and Seal's Little Libra Lou

First photos of Heidi Klum and Seal Samuel's daughter Lou are up on Heidi's website.

The correct time of the lovely little Libra is also given. Lou Sulola was born at 7:46 pm and not the earlier time of one am first noted in the press.

Born with the Sun in the sign of Libra, with a Taurus rising
ascendant sign and a Moon in Cancer, Lou has a nice balance of earth,
air and water energies in her chart. To check out your child's basic element balance, calculate a mini-chart wheel
and Sun, Moon and Rising chart report on Kiddiegram for free.

Mlle Kiddie notes about Lou's Moon placement (from her Kiddiegram report) that her Moon is in the second house. Since her Moon is in the sign of Cancer, she'll feel that her Mom is very nurturing and caring. They share a mutual
air energy in their Sun Signs (Heidi is Gemini). To check
out their compatibility go to our Parent/Child Interactive
kiosk and enter in Gemini Mom with a Libra child.

Favorite possessions and familiar things--quilts, toys, and so on--enhance Lou's sense of security. Long after she's stopped using them, she'll want to keep them because of all the emotional energy she's invested in them. She can become a pack-rat, and her living space may become cluttered with cherished items she's loathe to discard. For the most part this harmless quirk should be indulged. However, she should perhaps be discouraged from displacing emotional needs onto material items (like an unhappy person who buys a new hat to cheer herself up). A trip to the toy store should not become her response to all of life's woes!
